Exemption travelling into Queensland

This is an extract of the website of Queensland Government on the section about Travelling to Queensland reviewed on 27th of July 2021:

I have already quarantined for 14 days in another state or territory, do I have to quarantine again in Queensland and pay the fee?

No, you only have to quarantine for 14 days in the state or territory you arrive in.

If the location you are quarantining in is a COVID-19 hotspot, you will not need to quarantine again when you arrive in Queensland if you are allowed to enter from the hotspot for a permitted purpose – subject to the following conditions. When you arrive in Queensland, you will need to provide written proof to an emergency officer that you have completed your mandatory hotel quarantine in another state, that you have had a COVID-19 test in quarantine and received a negative result, and that you travelled on a direct route in private transport or as arranged by a government authority from the hotel to the airport. During this travel time you must have worn a mask and you must not have left the confines of the airport.

It is important to remember that even though you have completed your quarantine in another state, you will still need an exemption to enter Queensland if you quarantined in a hotspot, unless you are a Queensland resident or are entering for a permitted purpose.
